How is my sweet baby girl EIGHT months!?! To say this has been the most rewarding, most fulfilling, most precious months of my life is an understatement. I am so proud and so privileged to be baby Claire's mother!

At 8 months...
-trying to stand up
-following me from room to room crawling
-talking...dadadadada...mmmmmm (high and low) with her mouth closed
-swimming, holding her breathe under water for a couple seconds
-likes to take it all in
-kissing and patting everything and everyone (such a lover!)
-squirming every where all the time
-rolls over and starts crawling before I can get her diaper changed
-loves her bunny
-obsessed with Dog and Hide and Seek Under the Sea books
-turns the pages when you're reading to her
-loves baths
-refused baby food from 6 to 7 months so at the advice of our pedi started grown up foods...loves bites of avocado, asparagus, yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, pita chips, hummus, cheerios, melons, strawberries, rice and oatmeal cereal
-takes 2 naps a day, dropped the middle of the day at 7 months
-takes music class and swimming lessons
-loves the dogs
-fascinated by cartoons, especially when there is music involved

Happy Father's Day!

We had a VERY low key Father's Day this year! Clay and I had just gotten home from a weekend in Austin for a friend's wedding so we were ready to relax and love on our baby girl all day. We all watched the U.S. Open Golf Tournament and lounged around the house! What a perfect day with my precious family! Claire and I are very fortunate girls to have such an adoring man in our lives!

Claire doesn't know how lucky she is!

Swimming Lessons...

Claire did great at her first day of swimming lessons! The pool was freezing, but it didn't even phase her. (I, on the other hand, couldn't wait to get out!) We are looking forward to lots of time in the pool this summer!

7 Months!

Baby girl is CRAWLING! It isn't exactly coordinated but this girl can move! If she sees something she wants, she is off! Big motivators are the dogs, our phones, and the TV remote!
Hating baby food! I tried for a month and half every baby food possible hoping the next one would be something she would like! Each new food was met with head turning, slapping away, spitting out, gagging, etc. Our pediatrician gave us the go ahead to start introducing bites of food. Claire LOVES this and is quite the little piggy for bites of "grown up" food!
Most days Claire is over the mid-day nap and down to a morning and an afternoon nap.
Eats breakfast and dinner (real food) and nurses or has a bottle 5 times a day (8. 11. 2. 5. 8)

Hi!!! First time in a high chair!
We were loving using the bumbo to eat, but decided it was time for this big girl to sit with us at the table!

Great Grandparents and Graduation!

What an amazing weekend! Claire got to meet her GREAT Grandparents all the way from Kentucky! My precious 86 year old grandparents flew into Texas to spend some time with Claire before we drove to Oklahoma for my little brother's college graduation.

Baby girl was showered with attention and LOVED it!

This was the weekend her yelling started!
Anytime some one was talking Claire would share her two cents with a loud, deep, long yell! She had us laughing so hard!
