Christmas with the Crudups

What a fun-filled two days we had celebrating Christmas with our precious families! We treasured the time spent with Claire on her first Christmas. She even got to meet some family members for the first time.
We spent Christmas Eve at Valinda and Byron's (Momu and Popu) with Uncle Brad, Clay's Grandparents, his Aunt Barbara, Uncle Steve and my family. Claire got to meet Barbara and Steve for the first time and kept us entertained with her smiles and dance moves! (leg kicking and arm waving!)

 Christmas morning we had an amazing breakfast at Steve and Laura's (Big Daddy and LaLa) with Aunt Hill, Soon to be Uncle John, and Aunt Kaki. We had so much fun cooking, opening gifts, and watching old home movies. (hilarious!)

We drew names for a gift exchange with the Crudups. The gift had to be "As Seen on Tv."
John got a "theatre hat" that you put your Iphone in the bill to watch movies. So so funny! We laughed so hard!
I got an electronic soap dispenser and Clay got the Shake Weight! I hope we play this game every year!



Then we spent Christmas evening at our home with my Mom and Dad (Grammy and Papa) and Uncle Bennett. My mom and I made a delicious dinner and then we snuggled up by the fire to watch the Cowboy game.

9 Weeks Old Today!

Two Month Check Up

We just got home from Claire's TWO month well check. She is doing absolutely wonderful and everything checked out great! I feel so blessed to have such a happy, healthy baby girl!

Claire did great with her shots today! Such a little trooper. She was exhausted from all the excitement and quickly feel asleep on our way home.

I didn't waste any time putting her pants back on after her shots!
I had to love on my brave baby right away!

-Height: 24 inches (95th percentile)
-Weight: 11 lbs 3 oz (50th percentile)
-Head: 37.5 cm (25th percentile)

-Had her first night away from Mom and Dad on 12/17/10 (my parents eagerly jumped at the chance to stay over!)
-Loves the Bath, Hates getting out of the Bath
-Laughs, Smiles, and Dances on her changing table
-Fascinated with any lights and sound, much more aware of her environment
-"Talking" all the time..."coooo and ohhhhh and ahhh"
-Napping in her crib
-Still not a huge fan of tummy time, but is great at lifting her head and has much better neck control
-Has nothing to do with her pacie
-Sucks on her left fist/index finger instead of a pacie
-Nuzzles her head back and forth on your chest and shoulder (I love this!)
-Wearing mostly 3 month clothing but fitting in some 3-6 month clothing/pjs (yikes)
-Smiles back at us and recognizes our faces
-Has a ball standing up on her legs with support

Eight Weeks Already!

I feel like the busy holiday season has put time into overdrive! I cannot get over how fast time is flying! To say we are proud parents of our baby girl is an understatement! Every little thing she does is an absolute miracle and we could not feel more blessed to share our lives with such a precious gift!

Crudup Christmas Card

Clay's dad, Steve, came over this morning to take a family picture for our Christmas card this year. Claire was all smiles when she woke up and full of laughter as we got her ready for the camera and then...
She was out like a light!

Actually she fell sound asleep after getting very upset at us for making her pose for the camera! Steve ended up getting some great pics anyway and I couldn't help but laugh at Claire's timing! We are having so much fun making new memories with our little bundle this holiday season!

Claire is definitely a water baby! She LOVED her first bath! We gave Claire sponge baths for the first two weeks of her life, which she also loved! She likes to put her hands in her mouth when they're wet, move her arms around, and kick her legs in delight!

Claire is 6 weeks old today!

We had so much fun at lunch today with Claire's 2nd cousin, Sophia, who is just two weeks older than Claire, and her mommy Mindy!

Claire wore shoes for the first time today!

Monday, November 29th, Claire lifted her head and whole chest off the floor (turning her head side to side) during tummy time! (she looked like a little turtle!)

Claire is smiling more and more at us and melting my heart every time she does!

Yesterday, November 30th, Claire looked up at me after eating, smiled AND let out the most precious little laugh/squeal!

Oh how I love the Little Things!!!!
